Laughter Africa is governed and regulated by our trustees. Drawn from diverse professional backgrounds they bring a broad range of experience, expertise, knowledge and skills which enable them to undertake the responsibilities of trusteeship. The trustees are ultimately responsible in law for the charity, its assets and activities. The trustees are charged with good governance of Laughter Africa – achieving our mission, setting strategic direction and ensuring we are financially sound and comply with relevant legislation. It is the trustees’ responsibility to formally approve our budget, annual report and accounts. As charity trustees they receive no remuneration for their services and they have no interest in the charity’s contracts.
